Anna Cameron

Public Policy Coordinator

Anna Cameron is the Public Policy Coordinator at Momentum, a community economic development organization based in Calgary. As part of Momentum’s Public Policy team, Anna works to build support for social and economic policies aimed at reducing poverty and increasing economic inclusion. Much of this work—from championing payday lending reform to pushing for the integration of asset-building approaches in social assistance frameworks—is rooted in an understanding of and appreciation for financial empowerment. Currently, a key research and advocacy focus for Momentum is strengthening municipal, provincial, and federal policies to better protect low-income consumers from the negative impacts of high-cost credit.

Anna holds a Master of Arts from the University of Ottawa’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, and a bachelor’s degree in political science and history.
