Maya Ramchandani is a former youth in care, she was raised in inner-city foster homes in Toronto facilitated through the Children's Aid Society of Toronto agency. Maya is a candidate for the Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs program at the University of British Columbia. Her studies focus on economic and social policy conducive to social mobility. She has served as an ambassador, public speaker, panelist and writer for child welfare advocacy. She has a particular interest in the impact of socialization on the lifetime trajectories for youth people raised in care.
