Tanya is a Financial Empowerment Worker (FEPS) with the Jane Finch Centre. She is a graduate from the Assaulted Women and Children’s Counselor/Advocate Program and has completed training in Personal Finance. She has over 16 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector. Her experience has been extensive and ranged from work with parents, youth and young children. She has also provided case management for individuals experiencing mental health issues.

Her work focuses on helping low income families gain valuable financial literacy skills. Through her work, Tanya has been able to help facilitate the return of much needed monies to marginalized individuals. Through the FEPS program Tanya has had the opportunity to work alongside many organizations with the same goals and views of financial literacy. She has done this through the facilitation of various workshops and trainings that focus on topics such as budgeting/banking/Credit and Understanding how to maximize Benefits and Credits for low Income Families.
